Celia Bangs Thomas is a painter based in Salt Lake City, working primarily in oil.

She is a recent graduate of the University of Utah's College of Fine Arts. Her paintings probe the complexities of relationships, alienation, mortality, and morality, weaving symbolism and imagery drawn from folklore, literature, and mythology into contemporary narratives.
